My name is Dione Parker and I arrived in the Netherlands in June 2025. I teach at the International School of Amsterdam. I am a mother to two daughters who are both living independently in Melbourne, Australia with partners.
I have been teaching for over 25 years in Australia and most recently have been teaching the International Baccalaureate curriculum program. In Amsterdam I teach Environmental Systems and Societies to year 11 and 12 students and history/humanities to year 10 students.
When I am not teaching I love walking/ hiking, camping, going to live shows/ festivals and keeping fit (I do yoga regularly). I lived in Canada for a year in the mid 90s and Tasmania for 20 years. I love the outdoors and always seek explorations in my surroundings. As teaching is a demanding job I see my home as a sanctuary and treat it with respect. I am also a landlord in Australia so understand how important it is to have a good tenant.
